What to Expect

Scheduling

To schedule an appointment, you will first need to complete a Request for Services form. After we receive your completed form, a member of our team will contact you to discuss your needs and schedule an appointment.

Preparing for Your Appointment

Prior to your appointment, we'll ask you to complete intake paperwork and gather relevant records (such as school reports, previous evaluations, or medical records). If your child takes medication, please discuss with your prescriber whether it should be taken on the day of the evaluation.

On the day of your appointment, please arrive at the Blank Honors Center on the University of Iowa campus. Plan to spend most of the day with us, as comprehensive evaluations typically take several hours.

After Your Appointment

After the evaluation is complete, our psychologist will prepare a detailed written report of findings and recommendations. Reports are typically available approximately one month after the evaluation. A feedback session will be scheduled to review results and discuss recommendations.

Fees & Insurance

We are an in-network provider for Wellmark Blue Cross/Blue Shield. For families with other insurance or without insurance, we can provide superbills for you to submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement.

Financial aid is available for families who qualify for Free and Reduced Lunch. Contact us for more information about financial assistance options.
