Assessment & Counseling Clinic

About Our Clinic

The Belin-Blank Center's Assessment & Counseling Clinic provides comprehensive psychological services that specialize in gifted and twice-exceptional children and adolescents. Our clinic is staffed by licensed psychologists who are experts in the unique social-emotional and academic needs of gifted learners.

Services

Assessments

Our comprehensive assessments provide detailed information about a student's cognitive abilities, academic achievement, and social-emotional functioning. Assessments can help with educational planning, gifted identification, and understanding twice-exceptionality.

Individual Counseling

We offer individual counseling services for gifted and twice-exceptional children and adolescents. Our counseling focuses on issues common to gifted learners, including perfectionism, underachievement, anxiety, and social challenges.

Outreach & Consultation

We provide consultation services for families, schools, and other professionals who work with gifted and twice-exceptional students. Our team can help develop strategies and plans to support these learners.

What Makes Us Unique

Our clinic is one of the few in the nation that specializes in the psychological needs of gifted and twice-exceptional students. Our psychologists combine deep expertise in giftedness with clinical training to provide services that truly understand the whole child.

Who We Serve

We serve gifted and twice-exceptional children, adolescents, and their families from Iowa and beyond. Whether you're seeking answers about your child's abilities, support for social-emotional challenges, or guidance for educational planning, we're here to help.
